On Tuesday 30th September Rich Mix will host a very special evening of live music, spoken word and eclectic jams to raise funds for both the Muslim Institute and resident company Numbi Arts!
The evening will include a charity auction of exclusive art by some of the best contemporary Muslim and diasporic artists in the UK – global artist Mohammed Ali (Aerosolarabic), award-winning Rachel Gadsden and the extraordinary Muiz.
The event will also include a Numbi Family drum, song, dance and poetic jam session titled 'Future Riddims'. Jonathan Andre and Joshua Brandler, musicians from The Grand Union Orchestra will attend the night, along with the wonderful Ethiopian-German songstress Tsega Tebege and Afro-Drummers Nadia Al Faghih Hasan and Freddy Macha.
Also performing are the celebrated London-based band Farid Adjazairi, consisting of singer/songwriters, oud, guitar and drum players from Algeria.
Numbi resident artists and poets Dorothea Smartt and Elmi Ali will share their spoken word!
