Maghreb Cine presents Adios Carmen

Maghreb Ciné's December screening will be Adiós Carmen by Mohamed Amin Benamraoui. Trailer here:

In 1975, 10-year-old Amar lives in a village in northern Morocco with his violent uncle, waiting for the unlikely return of his mother, who has left for Belgium. He finds a friend in Carmen, his neighbour and a Spanish exile working at the village cinema, who helps him discover - through cinema - a world previously unknown to him.

Film starts at 7.15pm, doors open 6.30pm. Certificate: 15. Venue is wheelchair-accessible.

There will be tea, coffee and hopefully cake and popcorn - though feel free to bring cake to share! 

Tickets cost £6 (concessions £5) and are available on the door. 

MI Fellows pay the concessionary price of £5.
